As a utility company, our favoured business model is “Build Own Operate Finance and Decommission”. That is to say, we finance and own our plants 100%, with the host country being our client granting the land concession.
WHAT DO WE DO?
SMR’s are the next generation of hi-technology nuclear and clean natural gas plants (known as Generation IV technology). Our plants generate heat and energy StarCore plants can be built as either (1) nuclear plants, (2) natural gas plants, or (3) natural gas plant with a conversion to nuclear plant. Gas to nuclear is achievable by replacing the natural gas reactors with nuclear reactors once a nuclear license has been awarded.The design of the plant allows for the reactors to be replaced like for like in terms of size and dimensions.WHAT IS OUR COMMERCIAL & DEPLOYMENT MODEL?
Every country is unique and StarCore maintains the flexibility to accommodate different regulatory environments and different commercial partners. Multiple business and deployment models are therefore available.

REMOTE, OFF-GRID & DISTRIBUTABLE ENERGY StarCore can be developed in any location and can provide up to 100km of either AC/DC transmission lines to create micro grids for remote distributable energy.
A working group was run at the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) INPRIO meetings in Vienna on the requirements for remote-sited SMRs.
The requirements were:
1. Inherently safe
2. Nuclear materials passively secure<
3. Fully automated
4. Remotely monitored
5. Remote shutdown capability
6. Zero radius exclusion zone
7. Load following (very fast for mining operations) StarCore are the only SMR
company that has a comprehensive set of remote siting requirements, and the only design that meets all these requirements.
We also have in High Temperature Gas, the only truly proven and inherently safe form of nuclear energy production. As a satellite monitored technology, StarCore also has the ability to bring telecommunications, telehealth and fast speed broadband internet to remote location.
